Where Is Home?

I don't mean to be socially awkward, but I always seem to be. I've decided to that secluding myself from the rest of the world will be the best thing for both parties, as I never seem to be cool enough for the rest of you.

Oh, well. So I didn't have a good time at the Fancy Party. That's all right, I pretty much decided that for myself when I didn't wear my suit in a moment of fleeting indecision. At least we lasted until eleven.

"Yeah, Carly failed."

Ouch.

ANYway, the weekend brings a great opportunity to catch up on some reading - both recreational and academic. I have two midterm exams next week, and I'm confident that I'll be able to pull through without chewing off my own arm. I also took the time to pre-schedule my summer classes (which will hopefully be enough to pull me out of the academic doldrums), and consider my options for the Fall. I've been coloring in blocks of time on black & white schedules for three hours, and it's helped my obsessive-compulsive needs to manage time I don't have. The rest of the afternoon brings chilly air, pizza, and perhaps a chance to get my academic career straightened out. I've got a little bit of momentum left from the Crazy Week of Normal Sleep, and my laptop has been freshly updated and runs wonderfully for no apparent reason. Sounds like a great opportunity to write a paper or two, just get even further ahead. I'm also acquiring 12 gigabytes of House, which will take the edge off of all this productivity.

The Parental mechanism is malfunctioning again, so the Easter plans are up in the air. Easter has always been a strange time for my family. It was on Easter morning that my father and I moved out for temporarily, so tensions always seem to be higher than usual on this weekend. I might end up at home, or I might just stay on campus and enjoy some solitude. Either way, I'm sure I will be a part of some massive fallout. It always happens, no matter how far away I move.

Until then, adieu.
My Easters have always been
dramatic and drab.
