The River Rhine
06.16.08 Mondays aren't that bad.
I realized last night that I have nearly twelve gigabytes of music that I've never listened to. This smart playlist, aptly named Red Headed Stepsongs, is another summer goal. Hopefully, by the end of the summer, this smart playlist will yield no results. This means I will have finally accomplished one Morita year goal: to listen to all of my music. Artists include Muddy Waters, Jefferson Airplane, and a shocking number of Beatles albums. Expanding one's musical horizons - exciting!
The Morita psychotherapy book I'm currently reading, Playing Ball on Running Water, is quite good. I'm already putting into practice the suggested daily thirty minute meditation and journaling (as you've seen in the last few days). The focus is on the task at hand, rather than the obstacles that keep the task from ever being accomplished. The focus is also shifted away from the individual and out into the world, forcing the individual to participate fully in co's surroundings. I love it.
The weeks will get busier and busier, as the student government begins to plan thins and as I take the reins as President. We're already sending e-mails back and forth, preparing for the imminent Fall semester. It's going to be a hell of a ride.
Things are much better,
now that I've quit smoking dope.
Look, I found my keys!
